Approximately 700,000 World War II munitions are buried along the coast of the English Channel, representing a considerable danger even after decades underwater. The deminers search for and neutralize these munitions, as well as explosive objects found on the territory. The complete cleaning of the sea bed will take more than a century.
Faced with the complexity and risks inherent in these delicate operations, the French demining service called on Auricoste to create a reliable and robust custom watch that would facilitate their work in the field. This is how the “Demineur” watch was born, designed specifically to meet the requirements of these professionals.
2 650 €
The "Demineur" watch is equipped with features adapted to the needs of French deminers, such as excellent readability in low light conditions, resistance to water and corrosion, and ruggedness to withstand shocks and constraints related to demining operations.
This measurement tool is a testament to Auricoste's expertise in designing watches adapted to the specific needs of professionals working in demanding and dangerous environments.
