Auricoste watches are designed with care and expertise, meeting the highest standards of French and Swiss watchmaking. Each watch undergoes multiple checks during manufacture, assembly and before shipping. Pour cette raison, toute montre Auricoste bénéficie d’une garantie internationale de 3 ans (36 mois) à compter de la date de livraison. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship present at the time of delivery.
The warranty is valid from the date on which a dated and completed warranty certificate is received from us or from an Auricoste-approved dealer. During the warranty period, on presentation of this valid certificate, repairs to covered defects will be carried out free of charge. However, the availability of all spare parts cannot be guaranteed. If the Auricoste watch cannot be repaired to meet normal conditions of use, it will be replaced by an identical model or one with similar characteristics. Repairs or replacements made during the warranty period do not extend or renew the warranty period.
However, in accordance with article L217-16 of the French Consumer Code, if a repair covered by the warranty is requested, any period of immobilization of the watch of at least seven days extends the warranty period still in force. This extension starts from the time the watch is requested or made available for repair.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The warranty does not cover:
– Incorrect use or maintenance of the Auricoste watch. Recommendations are given in our maintenance guide.
– Bracelets and accessories.
– Failure to carry out recommended servicing to ensure the watch’s correct operation and durability.
– Damage caused by strong magnetic fields (e.g. electronic devices, security gates, loudspeakers, etc.).
– Normal wear and tear and aging (scratches on glass, alteration of bracelet materials such as leather or rubber) as well as bracelet buckles and pumps.
– Damage caused by inappropriate use, accidents (falls, impacts, broken glass, crushing).
– Visible defects not reported on delivery.
– Indirect consequences resulting from the use or malfunction of the watch.
– Watches modified, altered or repaired by an unauthorized person.
– Theft, loss or damage due to natural disasters or force majeure.
COMMERCIAL WARRANTY
The 3-year commercial warranty supplements the 2-year legal warranty of conformity provided for by French law. This commercial warranty is:
– Independent of any other warranty granted by a third-party vendor, and is the vendor’s own responsibility.
– Valid only for the first purchaser, the benefits granted not being transferable to subsequent resales.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Movement drift: Mechanical movements are adjusted by our watchmakers to ensure optimal precision. Tolerances are indicated in the movement data sheet.
– Tightness: Gaskets must be checked regularly. We recommend an annual test to ensure a perfect seal.
– Wristbands and accessories: Wristbands and accessories are not covered by the warranty.
IMPLEMENTING THE WARRANTY
To invoke the warranty, please contact us by e-mail at info@auricoste.fr, enclosing all relevant documents (photos, warranty certificate, invoice).
After verification, we will proceed with the application of the warranty as soon as possible. Depending on the nature of the intervention, a processing time of 3 to 12 weeks may be necessary.
